Whew!! What a weekend!! The bf surprised me with a trip to Disneyland for our anniversary. We don’t have a designated anniversary date, so it will always be a surprise. ❤

I have been so busy with school and such I actually haven’t painted my nails for the past two weeks!!! Here is an old manicure for you guys.

First I started with OPI Malaysian Mist.

Then I used OPI Divine Swine and OPI Crown Me Already!!

Back to paying attention…

Love ya’ll

Have a safe and happy halloween!!

happy polishing…

I did not fall off the face of the Earth!

Sorry it has been so long! I was just so happy with my Pirates of the Caribbean manicure, I was super sad to say goodbye to Mickey and crossbones!

Another reason why I also haven’t posted is because I couldn’t figure out what to post. My recent haul I purchased both of the Serena Glam Slam duo packs.

Serena Glam Slam: Spark De Triomphe & White Shatter

Serena Glam Slam: Rally Pretty Pink

I also purchased three other shatters, navy, turquoise, and blue. I absolutely love them!It all started with one shatter, and out came 6 more. I can’t wait to see what else OPI has left up their sleeve.Since I had so many choices I had the hardest time figuring out which one to use first. I almost had to just close my eyes and pick one, but the navy blue was calling my name. The next hardest part was picking the base color. I wanted to do something really natural so I chose OPI Malaysian Mist.

OPI Malaysian Mist

This is one coat of Malaysian Mist. It’s a great creamy nude pink with only one coat! Love it. Next I used my Nalene nail guides before I painted on my navy shatter and here is the result. This mani is fun and easy. It didn’t take any time at all, which is a plus, and shatters are easy to clean up!

This will definitely last me through the Memorial day weekend and I’ll try to stay more on top of my posts.

Happy polishing!

Oscars 2011

Let me first start by saying, I did not watch the whole awards show.  My mom had called me over for ribs that night, I didn’t have a hard time choosing between the two.  I love me some home-cooked ribs. BUT I saw more than enough.  As far as nails go, it looks like it was a nude show.  The only one that dared to wear a bold color was the stunning host, Anne Hathaway.

Most actresses decided to not take away from their gorgeous dresses.  I would say the best dressed was Mila Kunis.  She matched her lacy fit with a nude polish and nude clutch. Perfect.

The always adorable Amy Adams did a slightly darker nude, bordering on a tan polish.  At first glance I thought it was a pale pink, which would have been absolutely fine too.

In this picture of Jennifer Hudson, she paired her vibrant orange gown with a light metallic.  It was a flawless match, in my opinion.

With Spring approaching nudes are a perfect answer for what shade to wear.  Here are a few colors that I can’t wait to use.  The first is a few new bottles I picked up last week.  From L-R: Sew psyched, In Stitches, and Topless & Barefoot.

These two almost look the same in the picture.  On the left we have It’s totally Fort Worth it.  It’s part of the new Texas collection from OPI.  It’s a light grey with a light holo(graphic) tone on it.  On the right is Moon over Mumbai.  It’s a a flat light grey, almost white.

A few light pinks. From L-R: Malaysian Mist, Hearts & Tarts, Bubble Bath, No Bees Please. And the last are pearls.  Pearls are always classic.  Again, L-R: Pearls Night Out, Pearl of Wisdom, and Oh So Glam.

Thats it folks.  Sorry for the long post!

Happy polishing!
