It’s Monday. Hopefully this manicure gets you through the rest of the day.
About two weeks ago I went to my local Joann’s to pick up some feathers and I picked out a piece of lace. Joann’s gives 2″ samples of lace for free, which is just about enough for this manicure.
First I started with essie Midnight Cami.
With your piece of lace measure out the size you need and cut it out. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it is always easier working with small pieces.
Apply a top coat to your base color and lightly press the lace onto your nail. I think it is better to have a little bit of excess lace around the edges so you can cut it off later. That way you have a more tight fit on your nail.
And that’s it. Continue the process with your other nails and you’re done. No need to apply a top coat unless you want to. I didn’t apply another top coat because the lace is white. Adding a top coat makes the white lace wet and is not as apparent on the nail. If you plan on using black lace, or any other dark colored lace, you shouldn’t have a problem applying a top coat.
